When I learned that Michael Bloomberg was banning clergy and first responders from the September 11 Remembrance, I knew immediately that something was afoot and it had much to do with oppressing the liberties of Americans.

New Yorkers made telephone calls, wrote letters and protested, yet Bloomberg like so many other government officials thumbed their noses at  all who perished on September 11, 2001, their family members, loved ones and God on September 11, 2011.

Since the arrival of Barack Hussein Obama in Washington, D.C. and as decreed by Michelle Obama, Progressives have stepped up the war against the Constitution, free speech and Christians tenfold.

Obama’s premeditated desecration of September 11th should come as no surprise when the one deemed this day of utmost importance to Americans as a derisory National Day of Service.

“…The way the new ‘National Day of Service and Remembrance’ envisioned in the Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act that the president signed into law on April 21, 2009 is being administered is all service and virtually no remembrance. This is deliberate.

At the signing ceremony, President Obama said nothing about 9/11, except in passing. He expressed hope that the generation of young people “that came of age amidst the horrors of 9/11 and [Hurricane] Katrina, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, an economic crisis without precedent,” would come forward and volunteer to work for ‘change…”

Disconnected and clearly out of place, Barack Obama who says that 911 was not about Islam read Psalms 46 at Ground Zero’s 911 Remembrance ceremony as if that was supposed to placate those of us opposed to the affront.

Additionally, the Bishop of Washington, a Hindu priest, a Buddhist nun, the president of the Islamic Society of North America and a Muslim musician were invited to attend the 911 Remembrance ceremony “A Call to Compassion”but not an evangelical Christian this past Sunday night at D.C.’s Washington National Cathedral.  (See, 9/11 prayer events: Where were the evangelicals?)

“A Call to Compassion?”  I think not.

Merriam-Webster's compassion definition: "Sympathetic consciousness of others' distress together with a desire to alleviate it."

Compassion, no.  Oppression, yes.

In other words, the presence of clergy was perfectly acceptable to deliver last rites or mentoring first responders at Ground Zero but unacceptable for the clergy and first responders to attend a Remembrance ceremony?  Not to mention the fact that clergy perished September 11, 2001.

Efforts to ban the presence of God, prayer and clergy failed.  See, Prayer Permeates 9/11 Ground Zero Remembrance, Despite Mayor Bloomberg’s Ban.

It is correct to say that September 11th is about the families.  I would venture to say that it is about much more.  However, the desecration of September 11 ban itself is intended to eliminate its significance to  Americans as well as the atrocities committed that day against Americans on American soil by Islamic terrorists.

The Progressive propaganda machine is a party to the left’s war on Christianity, the Islamization of America and rewriting history, i.e., erasing the murderous acts that occurred early Tuesday morning, September 11, 2001 by Islamic terrorists, as called for in the Al Jazeera article entitled, Let's forget 9/11.

Let's bag it...

I'm talking about the tenth anniversary ceremonies for 9/11, and everything that goes with them: the solemn reading of the names of the dead, the tolling of bells, the honouring of first responders, the gathering of presidents, the dedication of the new memorial, the moments of silence. The works….

…If we have any respect for history or humanity or decency left,” he writes, “isn’t it time to rip the Band-Aid off the wound, to remove 9/11 from our collective consciousness?”

If you are unable to view the above video, you can catch it here.

We must never forget September 11, 2001.  We must ensure by any means necessary that future Americans learn of the assault upon our nation that occurred on September 11, 2001.  In furtherance, they must also learn of those who tried to rewrite the history of events.
