Progressives Declare War on Lowe’s for its Decision to Pull Ads from TLC’s “All-American Muslim” Propaganda Program; Support Lowes (and other entities) For Making the Right Call

Lowe's Under Fire for Pulling Ads from TLC's Al..., posted with vodpod

On Tuesday afternoon, I received an email (excerpts below) from an individual who goes by the name of Becky over at CREDO Action (
Said email attacks Lowe’s and asks that I sign a petition against the entity demanding that they reverse its decision for taking a stand against Islamic radicalization and propaganda.  Be advised that I will do no such thing.
I fully commend Lowe’s for their actions, which, in my book, are as American as apple pie.
Moreover, I have intentionally edited out all links in the event that some troll(s) reading this post hopes to link directly to the petition for signage.

“Profoundly ignorant and un-American.
Dear           ,
These are not our American values.
The major home improvement retailer Lowe's just pulled its ads from a popular reality show featuring the everyday lives of Muslim families in Detroit.
The move by Lowe's came as a result of a campaign by a rightwing group based in Florida. The Florida Family Association objected to the Discovery Channel/TLC's "All-American Muslim" calling it "propaganda that riskily hides the Islamic agenda's clear and present danger to American liberties and traditional values."
In response, California State Senator Ted Lieu called Lowe's decision "bigoted, shameful, and un-American" and "profoundly ignorant." We join State Senator Lieu in calling on Lowe's to reverse its decision. 1…
…Lowe's has made public a corporate commitment to diversity and inclusion in the past. The Lowe's website states "The behavior and actions that support diversity and inclusion come from the conviction of every Lowe's employee — making diversity and inclusion a conscious part of how we run our business, serve our customers, represent ourselves in the community, and treat each other.’2
Just because a rightwing group thinks all Muslims are potential terrorists, doesn't make a television show that portrays the daily life of an American Muslim family ‘controversial.’ It makes the group protesting the show bigoted. And it makes Lowe's behavior in caving to their xenophobic rantings not just cowardly but shameful….
…Thank you for taking action.
Becky Bond, Political Director
CREDO Action from Working Assets..”

Just like the intolerant left to accuse everyone else of that which they themselves are guilty.

While the heat is on Lowe’s to rescind its decision to pull the ad, according to Florida Family Association and as reported by the Washington Postsixty-five other sponsors also pulled their ads.

“…The Florida Family Association, a Tampa Bay group, has led a campaign urging companies to pull ads on ‘All-American Muslim.’ The FFA contends that 65 of 67 companies it has targeted have pulled their ads, including Bank of America, the Campbell Soup Co., Dell, Estee Lauder, General Motors, Goodyear, Green Mountain Coffee, McDonalds, Sears, and Wal-Mart…”

As expected patriots, Progressives will now declare war on these corporations for doing that which is just and as usual, because it is really all about the money, Progressives will demand financial restitution.

Patriots, let us be sure to make our voices heard by contacting these corporations and lending them our support.  We can also support them with our dollars.  Progressives must not be permitted to strong-arm these corporations into submission.

As stated above, I support the Lowe's decision to pull the ad, as is their right and truly appreciate that they did not submit to being progressively and politically correct.

Furthermore, I will be contacting the hardware chain to (a) render my support and (b) inform them that there is a traitor in their employ.

Now where would I get such an idea?

Ten days ago, I purchased several items from the hardware chain online; joining their mailing list and yesterday, I received the above email from Credo Action addressing me by name.

Coincidence?  I do not believe so.

FYI and as reported by the Florida Family Association:

“…Here's Good News thanks to supporters' emails to advertisers!

Before anyone starts attacking me on my stance, be advised that Lowe’s, well ALL of these corporations, have the right to place their ads where they want just as they have the right to pull the ads from programs of their own choosing.
