“David Plouffe, a senior White House adviser who was President Obama’s 2008 campaign manager, accepted a $100,000 speaking fee in 2010 from an affiliate of a company doing business with Iran’s government.
A subsidiary of MTN Group, a South Africa-based telecommunications company, paid Plouffe for two speeches he made in Nigeria in December 2010, about a month before he joined the White House staff.
There were no legal or ethical restrictions on Plouffe being paid to speak to the MTN subsidiary as a private citizen. But for a close Obama aide to have accepted payment from a company involved in Iran could prove troublesome for the president as the White House toughens its stance toward the Islamic republic…
… The White House said Plouffe declined to meet privately with MTN executives in Nigeria…
… the company “has been invited to a series of meetings with U.S. government officials in South Africa and Washington over the last six months” in which presidential executive orders on trade with Iran were discussed.…”
The cover up and the lies have begun.  Once again, someone close to Barack Obama fails the smell test.
“The White House assures us that Plouffe merely went to speak to the company about ‘mobile technology and digital communications.’ It was merely his technical expertise, and not his connection to the president, that spurred MTN Group to spend $100,000, and probably about $5,000-$10,000 on air fare (how likely is it that Plouffe flew coach, or had many layovers?) and more on lodging.
Now, how many speeches are worth $110,000 to a company? What could President Obama’s 2008 campaign manager have to say about ‘mobile technology and digital communications’ that would create $110,000 in value to a telecommunications company?
Perhaps Plouffe really is that smart. Or perhaps what made him worth the expense was his relationship to the president – and perhaps MTN Group, like many large international business, felt it would be good to have friends in high places…”
Clearly, these elitists really believe that the American people are stupid.
Why do I always get the impression that Obama is playing both sides?
Does this explain Obama’s overwhelming silence during the Green Revolution that took place in Iran a few years back a few months after the famous Cairo speech in which Obama encouraged Muslim students to rise up.

“’Iranian exiles in the U.S. are receiving calls from back home asking why President Obama has ‘given Khamenei the green light’ to crack down on the election protestors. To conspiracy-minded Middle Easterners, that is the obvious meaning of Obama’s equivocal response to the Iranian nation’s sudden and unexpected reach for freedom….’

Barack Obama made a speech to the Islamic world.  He pretty much told them ‘I am here for you. I, Barack Hussein Obama, will be by your side.’

Unfortunately the youth of the world being young and gullible listened and took Barack Obama’s words at face value as did many others during last year’s election.  And last week, the youth of Tehran inspired and remembering the words of Barack Obama reacted to those words.  They rose up and set about on their quest for democracy for the whole world to see.  Little did they know that they were about to experience an epiphany.

Such epiphany would expose this American president as no other before him.  Barack Obama turned his back without blinking an eye on the very people he spoke to just days before. ….”

As mentioned above, when I recall Iran getting its hands on one our drones and how Obama has dragged his feet in issuing sanctions against Iran that would not harm a fly it, is easy to conclude from this that Obama is playing both sides.

Once again, another broken promise and a conflict of interest Obama the corrupt promised to avoid.
