Pope Francis Holy Thursday Mass of the Lord's Supper; Good Friday Liturgy Celebrates the Passion of Christ



Pope Francis, the people's pope, on Holy Thursday went to a juvenile detention center and washed and kissed the feet of 12 inmates just as Jesus washed the feet of his disciples.

“…During the evening Mass at Rome's Casal del Marmo prison for minors, Pope Francis washed the feet of 12 young people of different nationalities and faiths, including at least two Muslims and two women, who are housed at the juvenile detention facility.

The ceremony of washing another's feet ‘is important,’ the pope said, because it shows that ‘the person who is most high among us must be at the service of the others.’…”

Pope Francis marked his first Good Friday by celebrating and reciting the Passion of Christ.

Yet as I prepare this post, it occurs to me that words cannot do this day, the blessings of the Heavenly Father, the celebration of Jesus Christ, his only begotten son, justice.
One finds oneself this Good Friday, humbled by His love, a love that is embedded deep within and so instead, I share with you the moments.
