Citing rising costs of Obamacare, UPS dropping 15,000 spouses from insurance (amended)




UPS has announced that beginning in 2014, it will remove 15,000 spouses from its medical plan due to the rising costs of medical care directly associated with Obamacare.

The undertaking by UPS applies to non-union U.S. employees only will save the corporation $60 million dollars.


Keep in mind that while Progressives from Obama down often repeated the lie, “if you like your health insurance you can keep it,” they knew better.  As I recall, there was never any mention of spouses except when it came to employers forwarding financial information to the IRS and Obamacare being paid for.

UPS employees should not be surprised, as it is highly likely that more cuts are on the way.  I suspect that this is only step one.
