Egyptian Military Orders Release of Hosni Mubarak; 25 police officers ambushed in Sinai

Hosni Mubarak, the former Egyptian president overthrown in 2011, will be released from jail in the next 48 hours after a prosecutor cleared him in a corruption case, his lawyer has said on Monday. Fareed el-Deeb was speaking after judicial authorities ordered Mubarak's release in one of the remaining corruption cases against him….

Twenty-five police officers are killed and three are injured during an attack by suspected militants in northern Sinai.
… The killings, which took place near the border town of Rafah, came a day after 36 detainees were killed in clashes with security forces. In all, nearly 1,000 people have died since last Wednesday in clashes between security forces and supporters of the ousted president, Mohammed Morsi….
Note that the news of Mubarak’s pending release comes from his attorney.

In the meantime, Morsi supporters have staged multiple protests demanding Morsi’s reinstatment and that the Egyptian army stands down.

If news of Mubarak’s release is true, will his release segue into heightened turmoil in Egypt?????

Finally, what role is the Muslim Brotherhood playing in this sudden turn of events?

Let us not forget that Barack Obama threw Mubarak under the bus for the Muslim Brotherhood.

What is next?
