Charges Dropped Against Maryland Parent Arrested During Common Core Meeting

Second degree assault charges on a police officer were dropped yesterday against Robert Small, the parent arrested last week during a meeting on Common Core standards in Baltimore, MD because he dared to question school officials.

…In a statement emailed to WBAL Radio, State's Attorney Scott Shellenberger said that, ‘it was clear that Mr. Small violated the rules of the meeting and disrupted the meeting. It was also clear that the Officer acted appropriately and did have probable cause to make an arrest on both charges.
‘The Baltimore County State’s Attorney’s Office has just received and reviewed the facts of this case. In the interest of justice, further prosecution will not accomplish anything more. Therefore, the charges have been dismissed….’

In the first video (below), Glenn Beck (H/t The Blaze) reports on the events leading up to the meeting including Mr. Small’s arrest and for the record, Mr. Small never shoved the officer.

As you can see from the above screenshots and the second video, it is the police officer who is out of line, pushing and shoving Mr. Small about.

Obvious from both videos is the school board’s endgame, i.e., to avoid hardball questions, squash dissent while maintaining full control of the meeting and shoving Common Core standards down the throats of parents.

Moreover, the state attorney’s claims that the officer acted appropriately does not hold water.

See GBTV’s video entitled, Fighting Common Core in which Beck interview’s witnesses to last week’s bogus incident.

and Parent’s arrest is a call to arms against Common Core and the thug bureaucracy.
