SYRIA: Assad Accepts Russia’s Chemical Weapons Plan; Senate Scraps Syria Vote (Revised)

While many nations remain skeptical, Iran and China are backing the proposal.  However, and as one would expect Syrian rebels claiming that this agreement would only result in more bloodshed would beg to differ.

It is being reported that allegedly upon the news that an alternative plan was in the works, Harry Reid decided tomorrow's vote in the Senate. (What can I tell you?  That's the story and their sticking to it.)

...Reid cited "international discussions" in postponing the vote to advance debate on the resolution authorizing the use of force against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's government. Reid said it was not important to, 'see how fast we can do this,' but rather 'how well we can do this....'
Translation:  Reid did not have the votes.
For the moment, Obama has saved face and denied his Syrian war courtesy of Vladimir Putin jumping on Kerry’s slip of the tongue.

In the meantime, let's see how Obama spins this turn of events (actually I'd rather not).
