Leading the betrayal are Mike Grimm (NY) and Peter King who met with fellow RINOs on Wednesday to thrash out opportunity and strategy.
…Grimm said the group was ‘spitballing some ideas’ on how to pass a CR that would fund the entire government, but he indicated that any plan would probably require a number of centrists to join Democrats in voting down a routine procedural motion in an attempt to seize control of the debate and the House floor.
‘I do feel we’re moving in the right direction, but for me, it can’t be fast enough,’ Grimm said....Read full article
Since revelations have surfaced that John Boehner colluded with Harry Reid last summer to ascertain exemptions from Obamacare for Congress and staff, we can safely assume that official narrative for yesterday’s meeting with Obama, Boehner, Pelosi, Reid and McConnell at the White House is false.
The narrative set forth last summer for the proposed meeting which never took place with Obama was also to give cover to Boehner who this weekend pushed for a one-year delay of Obamacare.
In other words, the real purpose of yesterday’s meeting was to layout to Obama the schema of the intended house revolt that would end the government shutdown.
As far as when the revolt will take place, post yesterday’s meeting at the White House, it is safe to say any moment now.
The traitors aka collusionists besides Boehner, King and Grimm are:
Charlie Dent of Pennsylvania
Devin Nunes of California
C.W. Bill Young of Florida
Erik Paulsen of Minnesota
Frank A. LoBiondo of New Jersey
Leonard Lance of New Jersey
Jon Runyan of New Jersey
Lou Barletta of Pennsylvania
Jim Gerlach of Pennsylvania
Michael G. Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania
Patrick Meehan of Pennsylvania
Frank R. Wolf of Virginia
J. Randy Forbes of Virginia
Rob Wittman of Virginia
Scott Rigell of Virginia
Richard Hanna (R-NY)
Rep. Mike Simpson (R-ID)
Rep. Rodney Davis (R-IL)
With Democrats and the RINOs named above, Boehner has enough votes to end the government shutdown now linked to government spending, the threat of tax increases and the debt limit.
The government shutdown as pushed through by Boehner is nothing more than an illusion intended as cover for the Speaker of the House for his next act of betrayal.
As rabid Democrats made their move last night on the house floor, Boehner rejected their efforts by rejecting their motion pushing for a clean resolution.
Boehner hopes to win concessions since government spending, the debt limit and tax increases are now tied to the government shutdown.
…Boehner called groups of members to his Capitol office all day, taking their temperature on the shutdown and the debt limit. It became clear, members say, that Boehner’s chief goal is conference unity as the debt limit nears, and he’s looking at potentially blending a government-spending deal and debt-limit agreement into a larger budget package.….
